Thank you to everyone who took time out to submit an entry; there are some cracking clues in there.

This is the first time I have judged this competition and choosing between clues which I think I might have struggled to solve and ones which I particularly liked was a challenge.

On the shortlist were BBM2’s doctrine of doctors @ 11, aristophanes’s horticultural effort @ 16 and ixion’s employment of the theme tune @ 17.

The one which I think would have given me most difficulty in solving is fieryjack’s @ 22. That is a beauty comes a very, very close second.

But the clue which I admire most, because of the wordplay involving “dope”, is that submitted by therogue @ 7:

“Bust in Amsterdam”. One detained, no dope found.

Congratulations, therogue; appropriate name, perhaps, considering the nature of the clue.

Here is your prize. I consider this to be one the funniest, and one of the cleverest, pieces of light entertainment ever seen on British television. It has justifiably become a classic and ties in with the word to be clued. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for having me, everyone.
