Had a hearing test 99% perf only missing very high notes ( are there any?)

I have heard that, as we get older, very high-pitched notes cannot be heard, such as those high notes of bird song

We start to lose the very high notes from about the ripe old age of 25!

I am not looking forward to that!

Aged about 21 I used to go to the huge multiple lamp-post in the middle of Parker's Piece at night to listen to the bats homing in on the hundreds of moths that it attracted - high-frequency cacophony; many years later went again - silence.

Incidentally, if you record them and play back many times slower, some species sound like a pack of wolves howling, others sound like humpback whales calling.
