Meant to add this would also tie in with the "o" missing from 27d if "of" is part of the the definition and only the "f" comes from following.
Obviously 3 of the 10 produce the same positional letter and i make them the "c", "o" & "t".

Where does the 4 letter character appear? I can see where the 6,8 and 10 appear but not the 4. Are the 4 letters in consecutive/adjacent order?

My reading of 44A is term (end) for repentance =E, masses = A LOT, the Z missing
