9a is a type of hat, not perhaps made by British 3a!
I am stuck with 14d... A Greek iota with 1a? 8. ?t?l???e.
I do not have a Chambers dictionary for 25a. And it's not in Oxford. Clue is Spongewood (4) ???a.
