I must confess that I didn't know before reading the article that "dumky" is plural of "dumka" - the two spellings had always puzzled me!

Thank you to all who helped. Can`t read my own writing! I did have `A` for the last letter, I`ve never heard that word before - will file it away for the future.

Try to hear the piece, jazzy. Dvorak wrote lovely chamber music in general, but this is something special.

Chris, I've just been checking my husband's catalogue to see if the Dumky was listed. He collected 600 CDs ! There are about 5 Dvorak (slavonic dances and cello concerto among them) but no Dumky. So I will have to watch/listen on Youtube. I see it is 34 mins. long. Maybe over lunch.
