I just need clarification/parsing on my last one
7 Want ratings, therefore, for Eastenders (7)

I have ABSENCE
which is probably wrong

The letters which are right are

A*S*N*E

Not often I can help you, Jazzgirl! How about ratings = ABs; therefore = 'hence' minus the 'h' if east enders pronounce it?

O K just got it
ratings : ABS
(h)ence. (Eastenders drop their aitches, supposedly)

We crossed in the post, Gharbij ihn but thanks for confirmation. Alll done now. Quite a struggle today
