Even the SIZE of the book is incredible! esp compared to my OED from 1972!!

That's odd... this also is a hardback- altho not thumb- indexed(no such refinement!)
What about the extra weight of the promised additional 1000 new words?!

btw elle, despite what the posting tips say, it is more convenient if you DON'T put spaces between your letters (can then be directly copied and pasted into, for instance, Chambers Word Wizard)

However, it doesn't matter if spaces are put between the letters - they can still be copied and pasted - I've just tried it!

You've just taught me something there, elle! How much time have I wasted deleting the spaces!
