OK, with busby sill to vote, we have a tie between rosalind @ 8 and fieryjack @ 24, both with 3 votes; 5 others with 1 vote each.

I'll hang on until my bedtime to see if busby wakes up in time to break the tie (or otherwise).

Rosalind @8

Good to see a bit of humour returning to peer review.

I thought it might be difficult – I confess that several of the clues I couldn’t parse (especially AB’s typically gnomic offering @27 – could you explain please?). I did write a clue based on initial letters – I’m surprised that no-one tried this approach. My personal favourite was one I did understand – les40 @31 (though I am a fan of the programme).
Fieryjack and Rosalind were tied. Fortunately, busby has come to my rescue. Congratulations rosalind for the clue:
Not a monkey but hides his nuts anyway (8)
Your prize is a careless squirrel:

Well done, Rosalind! Thanks to Chrise for hosting and a fun word, loved the clip.
P.S, Chris, what was your clue?

Thanks for asking, mattrom!

An animal, with, initially, some quite unusual information regarding relative energy levels.

Thanks for setting and sitting up late Chrise.

A very cold and foggy morning here bed would be a good place to be.

Congrats Rosalind
