I assume you have 25 paired with another clue? If so, have you worked out the other half of the pair?

So you know where to split the 2 clues? The first part of 25 is the definition for the first part of the other clue. The last part of the other clue is the definition for the second part of 25.

Hope that makes sense :-) Do you need more?

25a..............

Synonym for 2nd word 'attracts' (= draws in) an acronym for last word. Definition is last 2 words of coupled clue.

I had to Google the answer as I'd never heard of it in relation to the definition.

Thank you. Had that word all along. Didn't know that it had that other meaning!

I've done about half of this and now I'm properly stuck, in the NE and SW corners. Some hints for 5ac "Solder part in home" and 29dn "With no publicity takes on screen icon" would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

solder and screen icon are definitions (of other clues).

Ahhhhh, that was so helpful! Thank you Trevor.

I'm just left with 14dn now - "I've just remembered telly's over here!" It's confusing me muchly.

the "I've just remembered" part refers to when you are writing a letter to somebody.
