hohs (plu) is in Chambers. It's given as cessation which, in turn, is given as "a rest" in the dictionary.

I'm wondering if the original clue has "rests" plural or could it be "rest's" or simply "rest". Pity Sven has not come back on it.

Just got your note on 5 @ 5. Yep, I'd love to get confirmation of the clue wording. I can never understand someone posting a request and then just vanishing. On any occasion I post a request, I peruse every reply and make a point of thanking the contributors. It's only manners after all.
