Although well explained:-

1. Jack = J; low = moo; mo(J)o = MOJO = magic.

2. It’s “in” there (leaving) = WEARIES = tires

3. (cryptic) FRAMERS. (framer = a person who frames pictures, a person who formulates (e.g. law/s) = an MP for example.

A bit too obscure, do you think?

4. trounce (corrupt /anag) = counter; top = jumper; COUNTER-JUMPER = contemptuous name for a shopkeeper or shop assistant (Chambers)

5. A CID test = ACID TEST
