I seem to be late today but intended to post this :-
There’s two of those little corners that I hate today – Top left and bottom right. So some clues if you are stuck.
1dn is A three letter fish with the first letter repeated.
10ac four inches is used to measure the height of horses.
22ac I think the doctor is an animal doctor (almost – use the first two letters.
19dn (if I’ve got it right) only parses the first letter but the whole is a yellow colour(ed earth)

Hi, All.

Not the easiest I have come across. I did eventually get there, but certainly not very quickly.

Another fine day to sit and watch others work. It is a pity they won't finish the bit at the door so that Mrs P can get her car out and stop using my petrol.

4d double definition: to keep / part of a ship
8a the bird is a nocturnal one (3 letters) in the middle of the word. The wholeword = humble
