Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle (the SF writers) wrote a great take on the story. It's just called "Inferno"

More litigation for Dan Brown perhaps ??. I am ordering that book by Niven and Pournelle, thank you

I think the Niven/Pournelle one is a little bit closer to Dante.

I found out that there is in fact a sequel. I might try to get hold of that.

Please let me know, sounds very interesting.

It (the Dan Brown book) has made me realise that we MUST visit Florence soon -- i know you are a fan and visitor -- have u read ant more of the Michele Gulterri books?

Yes, we love Florence.

I very nearly bought another Michele Guittarri in a second-hand book shop in Chichester, but it was much later in the sequence. Would that have mattered?

I honestly do not think so -- each book has/ is it's own story in isolation -- but as we chatted before, there r the underlying characters etc and a thread -- but the author always refers back just in case u have picked up the book for the first time

Right then, I'll keep looking out for bargain editions.

Ready for another clue?
