Not entirely sure quite what you mean chrise, but all the answers to one composer go into A and the other into B. It would seem the answers in A are in the original language. I would presume the same can be said about grid B.

I hope this helps but if t doesn't...give us another hint !

I think it can be safely said that Grid A has the composers name as one answer, but the name of the composer in Grid B doesn't appear in any answer.

Not sure if any of his operas are included as answers yet ( Grid B ) but I have found at least one operatic character at the present time.

More to follow I hope !

Thanks to SDL and Mikey
The ones I've entered so far are all names, so the language isn't relevant. However some of the titles I am looking for could be in Italian/German or English. You have some English ones then, SDL?

btw I have the composer's name in grid B, but not as the composer (if you see what I mean). It may be wrong, though.

All my answers, few that they are, would seem to be in the original tongue.

We seem to be dancing around on the head of a pin here about the two composers. I am loath to give the two names but 20 seconds or so on Google will surely find them. I will give one clue however....its not Britten as we are celebrating the centenary of his birth this year, but he was only born in 1913, so can't be a bicentenary.

OK, the answer with the composer's name in grid B WAS wrong (I had his son in 16ac, but it doesn't fit with 18dn)

Chrise...I have one of Grid B's operas for 16a. If it helps, its a first name and a surname. Not sure what to put into 16a for Grid B however.

Are you a bit mixed up there, mikey? I have a named person/opera in grid A, but I can't find an opera for the grid B composer to fit.

Grid B 16a - think of the time around the 25th!
