Annoyed interjection from cook greeting superior intellect - 'Do You Mind' fits the Def. and 'Mind' is 'Intellect' but what is the relevance of 'Cook' or am I way off?

Old Turkish sailor crew left on Island - OSMANLI I can see Island = Man and Left = L but the rest..

PS. Why does Superior translate to 'U'?

Thanks Sudokolover, I had thought the 'Island' was 'Man' (as in Isle of Man), I've ever heard of 'Crew' as 'Man' before. One for the notebook.
