Ok, I've got the dragon now (never heard of her here in France, of course); how about "Nips outside, nip off for mystery series" 4,5 I have ?C?N ?E?K? Any useful tips going for an ex-pat?

Guess I've got the title of the mystery series now (my "c" was wrong)- though I don't follow the "nips" bits..............ah, I see it all now! Obviously too late to ask questions when you've all finished.Time for a celebratory drink!

Yes, devonian. And it was about the first clue I got. Otherwise I am very stuck having found this Xword very difficult. Do we have a new compiler? Will go home now and fill in that admin thing (thanks to your help) It had me stumped along with numerous others.
