To update, 16/17 votes cast. Only Pastille to go. Good spread of votes with Rambler and Bullfrog tied on three and Paul and Bob's mum on two, so all depends on the remaining vote. Will wait till 1.30 or till Pastille votes, whichever is earlier.

Good morning all,

Sorry for the delay....was being very merry last night, and feeling slightly delicate this fine morn....so it is just as well I had made my mind up yesterday, but did not have time to post.

It's bobs mum #30.......mmm sorry about that, I would hate to have to choose.

All votes in and we have three winners, tied in the voting.
Bullfrog with “Woolly rollneck is gift - just a small one”

Rambler with “Naughtily tricks obliging elf into providing not big extra present”

Bob’s mum with ”Elf mixed gin and it on the rocks with a drop of lime as a small gift”

For all three of you the prize is a Christmas Carol from the incomparable Tom Lehrer, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtZR3lJobjw

Almost impossible to pick the person to start next week’s. I’ll go with Rambler.
Thank you all for such a high standard of clues, with a wide spread of votes.

Congratulations to the winners, and also the everyone else for a very high standard this week, I thought. Thanks also to AB for setting the phrase and making the difficult final decision.
I haven't looked at the prize yet, but thanks also in anticipation for that.
(This is starting to sound like at Oscars' speech, so I'll stop now.)
