11a "Ecdysiast ends in act showing little bust" (9) I've looked up ecdysiast and it appears to be something to do with a snake shedding its skin (sloughing) and a statuette(which fits) is a little bust - but what does the whole clue mean ?

act = statute

The ends of the word are placed in the word "statute" (act) to give statu et te?

An ecdysiast is a striptease performer - which makes the clue quite humorous.
