Good morning, John.
18d. Haw is a Scottish word for a berry. Beret is pronounced.......
24ac. 4 = D 5 = E prefix for "three times" (e.g. tercentary) = TER
D+E+TER

Is not 1A coppice? 'carry on' COPE about 'film' PIC. This fits nicely with 5A.
