I'm kind of stuck on 19ac. See shrink with condition (7). I've got W?T?E?S. So answer could be WITNESS as in 'see' but where does shrink with condition come in. WITHERS suits shrink but not the rest of the clue. Any enlightenment, anybody?

Could it be wetness a condition that might cause something to shrink?

I think WITNESS is the answer. Shrink the word with and -ness according to Chambers is a conditioning of a word. and that fits with see
