Please help as I only have one clue left and it's driving me mad.

I've used a crossword solver and the only thing that it throws up is bedmaker. If this is the answer could you please explain it to me because if it is I don't get it?

Yes, it you make an "apple pie bed" it is very unpleasant for the person trying to get into. It is a prank often used by university students etc. ;)

Ah right. Thank you very much. I wonder if it's an American thing because I've never heard of it. Or maybe it's just that I'm too old and my University days are so long behind me and back then students were sensible and did nothing more than go to lectures and work hard on our thesis. (LOL!)
