BRA is a very common (crossword) supporter - in fact, if you see "supporter" in a clue, think first of "bra" (one day I may find out exactly what it supports!)

Yeah I hear what your saying but 'Brassier' and 'Brasserie' have two very different meanings and if you take the 'RE' from Brassier (which is the only one that means 'supporter' then you're not left with the right letters for the answer. It only works if you take the 'RE' from Brasserie, but brasserie doesn't mean 'supporter'.

I think you are confusing an eating establishment with an undergarment- BRASSERIE and BRASSIERE. Be careful if you are out looking for somewhere to eat ( or the other!)
