There's a tradition that a golfer achieving a hole in one buys drinks for everyone in the clubhouse. I was once on a walk crossing a course in Scotland (near Biggar), when I heard a golfer exclaim "Oh no - don't go in the hole"

Well Dads' Spanish strangely left him by the time he got to the clubhouse but he forgot to say to Mum so he was landed with the round but it was 20 years ago so it was a cheap round

Trevor of course not - excuse the pun - it brings a smile to mine as well - unfortunately Mum died last year and I hadn't thought of this for ages. Its a very happy memory, strange though that may sound to some.
