King John lost the crown jewels in the Wash.
Henry V let slip the dogs of war in Shakespeare's play.
The Court of the Star Chamber was, I think, Henry VII's, though it might have been Henry VIII - easy to check.

The ruler over the water I think was the Jacobite toast to the Young Pretender (Bonnie Price Charlie)

You are very welcome. I'm not very sure about any except King John (fairly sure about Henry V), but the others should be easy to check on Google or Wikipedia.

The compiler may possibly have made the same mistake as me. I've looked up the quotation "cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war" and it's from Julius Caesar, said by Mark Antony. I always thought it was Henry V's speech before Agincourt.

And the Star Chamber was created under Edward II, but continued up to Charles I - most active under Henry VII, though.

Yes, I saw that while looking it up, philip. Do you think it satisfies the clue?
