Do you have any letters for the weapon clue?

??T?????.First letter might be P but not too sure

I can only see 2, 8 letter words for weapon with T as the third letter
Catapult has Tap in it, which could, just be a strike
petronel is pxtxxxxx but can't see any relevance to the clue
