Sorry, but going back to the wretched dingbat. On post 2 suki corrected herself and said the n was not in capitals.
I only have very limited experience of dingbats but have found that once you see it you are sure the answer is right. Not convinced of anything yet, I'm still working on it!

However, when I googled this dingbat, it showed 2 people on AB had said both the I & N were large and one said both were "large and darker in colour". No further ideas here :(
