aristo,

Could you run the explanation of your post 15 by me please, I'm looking at an anagram of 'Loading' I think, but 'nipper' escapes me. Cheers pal.

pastille,

I read Harliquin's as follows

For = Pro
understand = dig (as in "to dig it")
everything = al(l) except or take away the final 'L' for lexicography.

Only thing is, I don't see where 'Lexicography' means 'L',
Is it a recognised abbreviation somewhere? I will stand corrected if so

Hello, Les.
Reckless, freeloading nipper left penniless (8)
I wanted to hyphenate freeloading but figured it would still work this way.
Reckless: definition
free- (anagram indic) loading nipper
left penniless: remove PENNI from loading nipper and you have an anagram of PRODIGAL.

More accurately, you have the LETTERS for PRODIGAL.

Aristophanes will burn in hell for his clue in post 15. And it receives the Inquisitorial vote.
