Sorry, that didn't come out right - I mean I don't think I'd ever have found it.

I think it was made into a mini-series back in the post-LSD era. My public library doesn't have it, though it's possible its American title was something like 'Flapping Kilt' (to make the dust jacket a bit more interesting).
