shepherdess....still none the wiser on any of those...but am still trying!

lisalippy - I should have said that it was a pass meaning a way between two mountains not pass as in pass the parcel!

thanks lady bee and pleb.have got no.48 with the help of you clues. had half the word but then stuck.just realised i have missed out no. 12 "wild asses chewed oranges" any help please.also dont think my answer to 84 is right.and am very dense on no.36.

chewed suggests anagram so try that with oranges and see what you get

36. Find a word that means a 'mountain pass' and follow what the clue says.
