I think you're right with 'benedict' - the 'en' must come from 'Lorraine's in', the word for 'in' in Lorraine (the place in France} is 'en'. Hope you understand my thinking - and thanks for 'benedict'.

I've gone brain dead...
45d Let off run when enveloped by mist and hail.(7) I've got FORGIVE. I can see R(run) and Fog, but not the 'ive'. Have I gone wrong?
