Hi Bees.
16A, University oarsman (anagram of Belgium braced)
For 18d, you have to read the first word as ENtrancing, rather than enTRANCing (as in the first month entering the year ):)

I've decided I quite like 18d now. I hope you don't think I'm being two-faced.

As usual stuck on one - 17d but am working on it. I too got 20a wrong at first which didn't make any sense for 13 but all in all really enjoyed this one.

Good morning all,

I too enjoyed this puzzle and I apologise for my absence in preceding weeks but I've been spending a lot of time in the garden. There has been a spell of good weather but, for the last three days, the sun hasn't broken through the cloud until late in the day so it's felt more like October.

With best wishes to you all and particularly to those who aren't well at the moment.

Caravaggio

Hi all, I enjoyed this one this week. I don't get mine until Thurs lunch time and try not to look on here until I have finished it or given it a fair crack at least.
Butterfly - Magworth is right a further tip may be to tell you there is a double letter in it.
