Hi tonyw having miraculously finished due mainly to forum assistance, will be interested to know if you've cracked it.

No not quite yet,have 18ac and 19d to go.

Don't want to spoil your completion, if you are not there yet 18a is a beautiful maiden loved by Cupid, 19d a jewish sect. Let me know if you need help it would be the first time I have given rather than received help. I may now have a go at the Times Jumbo.!

Having completed the Saga crossword the Times Jumbo will be a breeze!

Thanks for your comment Brackendale but when I chose my username it reflected my pace at solving Xwords, so a jumbo X could keep me plodding on to the weekend.!
