Dead Heat - working on the principle that its too late to have to set another clue!

I think I know the answer to AB's clue, am I allowed to answer

Looks like a few of us were frozen out. Perhaps declare clues open for those set in the final hour?

Or just out for the one after their clue has been guessed successfully or revealed? One can sit out a long time I'm sure culmer Les40, jws , Aristo and others were frustrated sometimes.

Good idea jws to open clues for the last hour or so - they seem to be very quick as we reach the end and I lose track of who is in or out! Thanks to all for some good fun

Just logged in to see how it ended and have read the comments.As I am starting next week how would it suit if I change the time limit to 15 mins? That would address the long wait for a clue to be declared 'open' without changing rules that have become familiar.
