I have just looked up Cornwall and found a small town whose beach splits in two when the tide comes in. It has 11 letters and appears on the west coast. (only a suggestion)

No. 2 is Highwater
A good clue, had it been between wax and wane it would have been lowwater

I'm not sure whether anyone is still following this but there are problems with the suggested answer to clue 33. Although it includes small hamlets my gazetteer doesn't index Highwater - where is it? In fact it doesn't bring up anything beginning with words associated with the moon or the tides. Also, spring tides occur at both full moon and new moon so the order of wane and wax would be irrelevant. Any further thoughts would be welcome but meantime it's back to the drawing board!

I haven't got as far as sorting out the answer yet but, upon questioning, Christian Aid have apologised and tell me that in fact it contains only four (4) letters. That's got to help!

Final correction. Sorry, I mis-read the email and it is 4/4. That will give it you - good luck!

Newcomer here ! Sorry if this has been queried before but is there a mistake in clue no 2 ? I have nearly all of the questions but also still stuck on no 5 I know the town where the beach splits but it does say 'town'.
