Cruciverbalist - thanks. I was very proud when I - eventually - got 'toft', so the appearance of 'toot' threw me! I spent a good five minutes trying to work out how it could work, and decided my 'toft' was better/correct.
I now have the 13 words and a full grid (if toft is correct) - any ideas on the 10 letter word - thought at first fuddy duddy but that has no link to the 13???
