When I saw 7,8, evening primrose came to mind. Don't know if they have these in Scotland, but they certainly have primroses. Anyway, "every second" could be construed as "even", so it might be evening something else. Actually, "making every second count" might be called "evening"!

Thanks, pastille. I'm a plant-lover and know the Latin names of all the natives of my neck of the woods, but one of the joys of traveling in, say, the desert over here or being plunked down in another country is seeing plants as mysterious presences (as they should be seen) without labels to (in a way) dismissively categorize them.
