sudokulover. Could you kindly explain the wordplay for 25ac leading to 'naivety'? I get the revolutionary 'via' for 'through' and possibly a whisper of 'yen', but I can't see where the 't' comes from. I'm probably suffering from post-Christmas syndrome.

I really did enjoy them. Wish you could find an American outlet- we're starved for cryptics. The Atlantic had superb ones but its setters retired, and now it doesn't have a puzzle at all. Even the NY Times one is boooooring. Happy New Year!

sudokulover. I think I've got 25ac. yen = y (at end), capture = net holding reverse of 'via'. Cheers. All the best for 2012.
