Hi JimC,
Gem from the orient seems to have got us. Do you think it could be "East India". Jewel in the crown and all that + east for Orient.

Hi Terry - was thinking exactly along the same lines (? get it??) and had already written but not posted:

60. A precious gem from the Orient ... ? possibly EAST INDIA (the "Star of India" is/was a huge sapphire).
