have looked right through my insect book and the only word that fits is Ciniflo, which is a spider! Sorry

Nice one Cazzy - never would have figured it! The clue seems a bit weak since there is no indicator to split INSECT - also nothing to indicate putting the ON and S inside the CULT. So even more brilliantly deduced!
