Sorry for being late with the result - got stuck in traffic.
Thanks for a super bunch of entries, for what was quite an awkward word ( I chose it because I've always liked it, and also because it's not a good word to get anagrams from!)
Anyway, special mention goes to sudokulover, tony w and jws - very enjoyable clues. I chose pastille's entry - Nurse initially from North Carolina is confusing and a nuisance -as this week's very worthy winner.

and Chips - good word, i gave up trying to clue it after reading some of the others.

Also, i noticed that you typed the preface - appreciate the effort - if you want to know how to copy/paste you would get all the help you need here and it is fairly easy.
