Good morning friends. Here is this week's offering. Number 5 may prove a little controversial. We'll see! Happy solving. J

I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT+1) to allow others to have a go.

1. Eliminate two fools during tea dance (11)
2. A short line to be going along with (6)
3. Signs of Iron Age admitted (8)
4. Stuffed following dire Xmas diet? Not exactly (12)
5. Bring someone’s attention to part in appointment pad? (10)

PS. I'm travelling to the 'big city' for an eye test. Will probably be late coming home this evening.

Evening Jolan
A rare 5-from-5@5 for me...?

1. Assassinate
2. Siding
3. Presages
4. Taxidermised?
5. Appartment

Thought No5 was a cracker, requiring lateral thinking! (Assuming I'm right, of course).
Cheers!

Hello Joan
I think Appartment works, "Pad" being a slang term. "Bring someones attention" - point, being exchanged with "part" in appointment.
Whether thats what Jolan meant, we'll have to wait and see!
Did you have any ideas yourself?
