I'm a bit stuck on 28a (8) 'Fine again'.

I've got r-a-s-s- and csn only think of reassess. Can anyone help?

DeeBee, dont think 17ac can be effect. Pretty sure 8, 13dn is square one. Then again, i could be wrong and it could be square off, which gives you your "f". Hmmm!

I reckon it is "square off" as a rhomb is a square without right angles.; hence I get effort for 17 ac.
