sounds like barbarian was involved in a row(6) I now have _R_W_D

CREWED - barbarian = crude (sounds like)

CREWED - was involved in rowing a boat

I think that for number 2, a should have been an e. And if you could switch the letters out, you are looking at an Elton John answer.

I am not that sure what the answer is for number 3, probably add more clues and the surrounding letters and see hot that springs up.

Trevor seems to be hitting a lot of correct answers eh?
