Thanks, terry as was. I've just got NARCOTIC!

Ordeal... brilliant. I had thought for a long time that it was SETTLE but it didn't feel exactly right.

I've finished!

Here's one that I got but never figured out the clue:

Circulating newspapers, fiddle or double calculation figures (5,8).

I just guessed it from the references to circulation and double...figures.

Hello Paul,
Nepalese peak (highest point) = N + arctic (freezing) with O (oxygen in it).

Your joke made me smile. Perhaps you should stick jokes on Celadon's long Poser of the day thread. That way it will live forever.

I suppose you're just marking time now until the big day. Hope it all goes well for you.

Paul,
Just ignore tossers like that who make up a new name just to say something like that.

Sorry, terry as was. I forgot to post the solution to that one about circulation.

It was BLOOD PRESSURE

Sammy,
Press(newspapers) with an anagram of "double or" circulating around it = caculation figures (130 over 90 e.g. which is how blood pressure is given).
