Thanks both. I got off to a great start with bottom right then stuttered to a halt. Will now have another go at it.

AJT - moving house is stressful but be ruthless. A friend of mine still has unopened boxes a year after moving so whatever's in them she certainly should have junked not packed!

Still stuck on 25a - any help /hints please?
Also 2d please.(Clue is - Influential one of the sexes to answer "single" in the box) (9)In the grid it is 8 letters, I have ?O???T??

25ac: the definition is "affected" (as in affected speech or behaviour). 2dn: it's the last letter that's missing. The "box" might be in the corner of your living-room.

Finally got 10ac and the theme followed, not before time. Might get back to Azed yet.

Thanks R - I'm hopefully moving from Pembs to the Worthing area. I have (fingers crossed) sold my house, and am looking foa a bungalow to rent (at my age it makes sense). Trouble is, they seem to go very quickly, andas I'm not on the spot arranging to view is not easy.

bunty - the "it stinks" bit of 25ac is also the 2-letter bit of 9dn.
