HI there,

Last few. 8a (4) 'Clootie can'. I've got
n-c-.

Also, 13d (6) 'Sheen's purgation'. Not sure whether to go with 'lustre' or 'lustra'. Any advice?

HI, Jaybee. I've got lustre, and I'm in the same place as you with clootie can. I think it must be nick, but don't know why.

Can is a slang term for prison cell, don't know about the clootie bit though.

On the other hand, you could put a clootie round your neck.

Other than this clue, the Stinker is remarkably easy today. Just the one to baffle us.

Three crosswords ready to post. This one and two from the Catholic Herald. Spent ages, last night trying to find a Saint's name, then I remembered my wife's name. Oh, I do lead an exciting life.
