Also, 13d (6) 'Sheen's purgation'. Not sure whether to go with 'lustre' or 'lustra'. Any advice?

HI, Jaybee. I've got lustre, and I'm in the same place as you with clootie can. I think it must be nick, but don't know why.

1st on could be nick.

Can is a slang term for prison cell, don't know about the clootie bit though.

Is Clootie not also used for the devil?

Nick=devil + nick=prison ?

On the other hand, you could put a clootie round your neck.

Other than this clue, the Stinker is remarkably easy today. Just the one to baffle us.
