Got a late and slow start on this one what with all the distractions of the Fourth of July weekend- rockets' red glare, bombs bursting in air, etc. (I know, I know, that commemorates a different war). Rather tricky, but then you guys are much wordier than we are. Having trouble with my final four.

Down to the last three. What a struggle - worse than the last Genius. I have:

4d: Insa--r (?insaner - but where does it fit?;
19d: -s-ered.

Any help offered, including where the breaks are, will be gratefully accepted.
