PS-With all respects to Mr. Laws, I hate themed xwords-straightforward boring ones only, please. Also I like some longer words-these are all fiddly little words, which don't give you an edge. Suppose that's the challenge but I don't like it-any comments?

I have MOSAIC for 12 down as I assumed 23 ac was THICK but maybe I'm being thick as I can't see why MOSAIC should be right.
