Seasonal is one of the "extra" words, as per the preamble. Ignore it and the clue will make more sense.

Would welcome a hint (not the answer) on the fifth word 'relic' in the bottom right-hand corner, with which I am rather in the dark.

It takes the theme word to give "feather-seller"

A great puzzle - much delving to be done.

What has been good about this particular thread is that, apart from the very first few, no direct answers have been given - just nudges in the right direction. Much more satisfying that way.
