Trevor, Legend has it that Aberdonians put their wallpaper on with drawing-pins so that they can take it with them when they move house. I don't know whether this is true. What I do know is that Aberdeen has the cleanest streets of any city - apparently the inhabitants never throw anything away. There is also an expression "quiet as a flag day in Aberdeen".
